This was our 50th Anniversary Exhibition featuring over 30 layouts and demonstrators from around the country. We have tried to bring layouts not seen in the area before plus a few local favourites and some which feature models from 50 years (or more) ago.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Club, a Limited Edition Wagon will be produced (in association with Wessex Wagons) in two scales (O and OO). They will represent a local Coal Merchant, “A & C Barnes of Gosport” – inspired by the photo shown. The 5-plank Open Wagons will be coal black with white lettering and will be available at our Show (1st/2nd October) or directly from Wessex Wagons. They can be pre-ordered via this website by following the link below. They will be available at the same time as the Show. The cost will be £48.00 for an O Scale wagon or £10.50 for an OO scale one. Postage will be extra, so collection at the Show will save money.

A new feature of our show this year is our “Club Room”. This is a dedicated room in which we will present a number of current layout projects currently being undertaken within the club plus our “Drive-a-Train” layout. Possibly the most exciting new development in this room will be our new modelling tables where children (old and young) can try their hand at kit building under the watchful eye and guidance of our members. We thank Peco, Freestone Models and Squires for their support with these tables.
The Club Room is in a squash court that you pass on the way between the entrance and the main hall.
