Hello and welcome to the Fareham and District Model Railway Club web site.

This site has been recently renewed and is being populated with refreshed and updated material as our volunteers are able to release it.

The Club is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, based in the Fareham, Hampshire area and has members modelling in most gauges. We are fortunate to have premises that allow us to work on, and store layouts and to have test tracks in 3 gauges, O, OO, and N.

A number of our layouts have been exhibited, and some were due to go out during the last year but have been prevented by show cancellations. We will be working on them to bring them back to exhibition standard.

Here you will find information on our activities, including Railex, our Model Railway Exhibition.

Best Wishes

F&DMRC Meetings

The club meets on most Monday and Thursday evenings in the clubroom (even bank holidays). If you are interested in finding out more about the club, this is the best meeting to attend. The third Saturday of most months sees us getting together in the clubrooms to do something “big”. When we moved to Portchester, this was mainly work on the building, but at last, we are now starting to have days “running and working on the layouts”. The Solent and Southdowns Area Group of the 3mm Society now meets on the 1st Saturday of each month. If you are interested in 3mm modelling or want to find out about TT as a scale, we will be delighted to welcome you. The South Hampshire 16mm & G-Scale Railway Group meets in our clubroom on the second Friday of most months.
